Hi guys,
maybe a little bit strange question of mine.
Yesterday I got a call from the admissions director from one of the BS's a sent my application to who was asking whether I could imagine transferring my application from the traditional full time MBA programme to the global executive MBA.
The reason of that proposal was my working experience and my profile in general.
Now I am looking for additional information about the global EMBA track.
What are in general such tracks good for?
We are speaking about nearly 2 years programme with approx. one week per month on-site learning.
I will keep working for my employer company during this time.
The question is:
What is a value of a global EMBA from a well-known BS?
Of course, connections, connections and once more connections.
But what else?
I know, I will meet my decision on my own.
I am just curious to hear your opinion.
P.S. I am at my mid-30's, 12 years of international experience. GMAt 720, TOEFL iBT 111.

is this duke? Just curious - we have a pretty good program, i understand.
anyway, i think you should find some EMBA folks to talk to. most of us were pretty solid on the 2-year experience, really wanting to be here to live the life and devote ourselves. Some of it might depend on your own goal. My guess is that job-changing is much easier from the fulltime mba, due to all the career support and the internship.

It may be that your experience is more vast than those in a traditional program, and you may get more out of working with people whose experience and level is comparable to your own. If your current employer will pay for it you may want to consider it. Unfortunately the cost is usually double for the EMBA programs. From what I hear instead of the basic courses and concentration you would do modules that are more collaborative, and build on each other. For instance, Marketing and Economics would be taught together and your cohort would work on a project that would merge the two concepts. . . seems kind of cool. But if not what your looking for my not be the right option.
