Hello,
I took the GMAT test for the second time this week, and a day after it I got a "newsletter" mail from GMATCLUB with the title "THIRD TIMERS GET IT DONE".
Does it mean that GMAC sell my data to the GMATCLUB?
I highly doubt that I got this mail by mistake, as a part of the newsletter, a day after my test, especially with this type of title, which irrelevant to most of the other site's members.
1. GMATCLUB - I felt bad having a low score on the test, but now I feel worse knowing you use my data.
2. Isn't it weird GMAC sell my data although I set them not to? (never opt in to anything) Is it legal?

I can assure you that GMAC did NOT sell/give your score data to GMATClub. You've been a member of this site for a couple of weeks now, so you've probably received a handful of the site's newsletters. I received the same newsletter that you received (and I assume ALL of the other site members received it too). This particular newsletter focused on site users who had posted their respective 'success stories' about their 3rd attempts at the GMAT, but the fact that you got it a day after taking the GMAT for a second time is just a matter of probability/coincidence - and NOT any organization 'targeting' you specifically because you might end up taking the GMAT for a 3rd time. My guess is that there are several people who received the newsletter who've taken the GMAT twice and are thinking about a 3rd attempt, so you shouldn't be concerned about the timing of all of this.
Instead, you should focus on your studies and application plans. How did you score in this second attempt at the GMAT?

This would be an amazing marketing job... you are giving us way too much credit 
unfortunately only a coincidence... and no, we can't afford to buy your data from GMAC - it is way too expensive... though on a personal basis probably quite cheap - $0.50 per person...
However, there is no doubt that your data is sold over and over and over again. Just wait until you score over 700 and you will flooded with emails, mail packages, all kinds of things sent to your home address from all of the unknown business schools who think they can convince you to join.
I kept getting them for about 5 years after taking my GMAT. Quite wasteful, esp since I was already done with my MBA... or perhaps a third time is a charm in that case coo?
