Hi,
I started preparing for my GMAT in May'15 and finally took the exam on 21st September. I followed the
OG 2015 pretty sincerely and boosted my preps with a classroom course from Princeton Review. I started off with scores like 570,590 in the PR tests which finally came up to 650 and 690 which were my last two PR test scores before GMAT. Also, I took the free
MGMAT and scored a 610 on that. I took the GMAT prep tests in the last week before GMAT and scored a 650 and 700 with a gap of 3 days in between. I took them again and scored a 730 and 760 this time but this was obviously due to a few repeats.
My Quant score had always been pretty stable around 48-49-50. However, I struggled with verbal a lot. RC seemed to be a nightmare. However, looking at the last few scores I felt confident and hence decided to go ahead and take the test. I got a 620(Q44 V31) and was pretty shocked. I plan to retake it in 2 months and am targetting a 720+. Please advice what material I should use and any strategies I need to follow in my preps.
Stuff that I intend to use this time:
1.
MGMAT advanced Quant2.
MGMAT SC3.
MGMAT CR4.
MGMAT CAT 6 tests
5. Veritas prep Question bank
6. Veritas prep 6 tests
I have started reading Economist, New york times and various other online journals to improve reading and comprehending skills. However, I haven't yet figured out a definite strategy for RC. I have created a collection of almost all the material available on gmat club. I definitely intend to exhaust that completely.
