An improvement in GMAT score would assist in getting into the top colleges.

Took at look at this previous thread. It's nearly a couple of years old (and scores have generally risen over time), but it'll give you a good idea of the types of programs that would be on your list with a 600.

As noted above, a 600 is a fairly low score for US schools. If you can add 50+ points on a retake, you will open up a huge number of options.

Of course, that's assuming GMAT is the only factor. It would be helpful, even at a high level, to know more about your background so we can better assess the types and specific programs for consideration.

Hello

The MBA application comprises of several components. It's difficult to comment on which schools you can apply to without knowing your complete profile.

However, as mentioned in the previous replies, your GMAT score is on the lower side. I would strongly suggest you retake the GMAT, esepcially since you want to pursue a career in consulting.
