gave my gmat yesterday...got a paltry 650
quants 44 ---> 73 percentile
verbal 35 ---> 76 percentile
total 650 ---> 83 percentile
was keen on applying to msc finance/phd finance programs
i think with that score its the end of phd finance...
just wanted to know if i stand a chance in the msc programs like
UBC and some european programs (eg essec, barcelona school of economics...)
should i retake and aim fro a 700 plus score...looking for some scholarships too...
my background indian, enginner with mba (from top schools here), gpa's of 3/4 ...
work ex of 3 years in sector research...publications include 3-4 research reports

Your verbal score is pretty decent. I believe being an indian engineer with an MBA, with a 2-month organized studying strategy you can easily raise your Quant into 48+ and verbal into 38+ and thus getting a score of 720+.
