Hi Gmatclub,
I was very excited to have scored a GMAT score of 730 (q47,v45) on my test yesterday, although, I made a mistake on the AWA section in which I accidentally submitted the page thinking that is was a draft page and that the next page would be the area I actually write my essay (really it was the end of the test). Therefore, I probably got a 0
. Secondly, My IR score was a 2.
THOUGH, in my first 650 test I scored an IR of 6 and an AWA of 4. I still have this score and did not cancel it.
I would like to apply to top 10 programs. My GPA is a 3.85 from a decent undergrad. My extra curriculars are VERY strong along with VERY strong recommendations from some industry leaders. I doubt I could go in and score a 730 again (most likely a 700-720) and am now upset I worked EXTREMELY hard for this score only to maybe not matter. Can someone please shed some light on if I need to retake this test because my subs will destroy my application? Looking forward to hearing back. I definitely would like to know soon as I need to know if I am going to have to retake.
ALSO, if I do retake and sore lower overall with higher AWA and IR, will that hurt my application as well?
Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,
Frank
