adishail is completely incorrect. His post applies to MBA programs, not to PhD programs.

As for the original poster, I am not able to offer any insight on your specific question. Sorry!

My bad. Thanks for pointing that out.

No problem. Just be aware that you are in the PhD in Business forum, not the MBA forum.

Perhaps you could look into some schools yourself. We can list the schools that offer a PhD in what you are interested in or you could look for yourself and then ask for some help after that.

Good luck

As you may be aware, all of those schools would not be considered top tier and it may be tough to get an academic job after graduation. You need to identify what it is that you want from a PhD and go from there. Most would like to obtain a faculty position afterward and thus try to get into the places that will provide a good research environment (these places include Harvard, Wharton etc, plus the top state schools such as UNC, Texas and so on).

well to be exact I do wanna be in academic atmosphere after PhD but I also have to consider my chances, I do not think that I have a chance at harvard or any top 20, besides I checked placements of these unis and some of them even have full placements. Is my reasoning wrong? besides I wanna stay at Canada after PhD and do research, thnx for your insightful comment and I am looking to hear more

You've got a decent application (although a few additional points on the GMAT would be helpful). If you could land a 700+ on the GMAT, I think you'd have a chance at some top 20 schools (particularly if you have strong letters and a good SOP).

That said, a few of the schools you list, while perhaps not top 20, have pretty good reputations for producing strong PhD's. I'm in a different discipline, unfortunately, so can't say too much about any of them...

Good luck!
