@ selene: u helped me a lot, ur answers were great to my post, thnx a lot
@ u2: well when i gave my first mock without any preps i gotta 660
Q(48) V(27)
(it was an old ets one..powerprep)
i realised to get over 700 i would have to be impeccable in maths which was my strength and above average in verbal which i clearly screwed in this test.
so how did i go about it
Maths: I read all the concepts from OG, it does mention all the topics but explaination is not sufficient so what i would suggest is pick up a topic and read in detail from other books.
>>> first focus on number system : inequalities, absolute value , even-odd numbers etc.
>>> do not worry about permutations and combinations and probability.
Verbal: i am not satisfied with the answers given in 1000 SC so left them after doing 660 questions. Moreover someone told me u can kill ur instinct by practising too many questions..well that depends on u ..
>>> Practise CR and learn the tricks that gmat tests regularly..
would try and list some if u want.
>>> SC can be learned if u practise..
>>> and trust me, RC on test is easy but timing is crucial (2 mins per Rc question max)
