Hi Everyone,

Could you please take a look at my profile and let me know how strong my application looks

Profile:

Age: 25
Nationality: Indian

GMAT: 700 (49 quant, 35 verbal)

Work Experience:
2 years 8 months at a US it firm
18 months at family owned business
Currently working in the family business. Manage/supervise 100/200 men on daily basis. Have made suggestions to the company (regarding improvement in bidding process) which resulted in a profit of $20,000.


Background of family business:
Undergrad: 63% from a indian university(not good!), Electronics and communication engineering
Undergrad Extracurriculars:
- Won many prizes for paper presentations on latest topics.
- Worked for conducting the college fest successfully

Post-grad Extracurriculars:
-Worked at the NGO affiliated with the software company I worked at.
- Life member of a cancer hospital and research association. Donate money and attend fund raisers.
- Member of green peace. Donate money and attend seminars.
- Attend rock concerts regularly. Recently attended MTV stuntmania(a yearly concert in India) and participated in many games. It was later broadcasted on national TV.


Please suggest some schools that I can apply to in R2.

Any advice is greatly appreciated

what's your post-MBA goal? Without that, it's pretty hard to say where you should aim for.

Your background sounds like a fit for a school ranked #10 to #25. While your GMAT fits the average of higher ranked schools, being Indian puts you at a disadvantage, so your other academics and experiences would need to be extraordinary to go higher.
