TOEFL dates unavailable till 29-Jan, apply for R3 or next yr?

Hi,

I am in a real soup here. TOEFL/IELTS dates are unavailable till Jan end and R2 deadlines are close for :-
Tepper R2 - 4 Jan
Kellogg R2 - 7 Jan
Ross - R2 - 5 Jan 
Rotman - R2 - 11 Jan
UCLA - R2 - 5 Jan

Should I apply next in R3 or next year?

 We are in the same boat..! But just check with schools if they can wait until you submit your scores. I mailed UCLA and they asked me to mention the TOEFL date in the application and they could wait a couple of weeks for the score to arrive before evaluating my application. I mailed them back specifying the date is 29th January. Still waiting for their reply. Holiday season..!

Ross admission help desk mailed me back saying I don't need TOEFL if my undergrad instruction is entirely in English. You just got to choose the appropriate option in the application.

It is worth checking with the schools to see if they can take a late score as many of them would. That said, I would need a lot more information about your profile to determine whether you should apply this year or wait. Age, undergrad school and GPA, work experience, extra-currics etc

I just gave GMAT , got 710. Profile wise : 90% - high school 70% secondary :ouch

6.77 on a scale of 10 - UG from DA-IICT (one of the top 10 tech colleges of the country) Indian,Female, age 25 started as IT professional - 1.5 years, changed domain to Program Management - 1.25 yrs strong extra-curriculars. - Dance Team head and Intra and Inter college events organizer to name a few. Interested in Marketing/ Finance. Specially interested in Luxury Management, but only NYU and HEC offer that.

It is worth applying this year with your profile and if you put together a really strong story for why you want to study luxury management and work in the industry, it could work out for you this year. NYU has a great program for this. Your scores are a bit below their average so it will really come down to the strength of your application. If it doesn't work out this year, next year you will be better off since you can apply earlier and potentially raise your scores.
