Maybe this is of interest for you. IT is a MBA-ranking from a well established German Business Magazine. USA and Europe are seperated.

Rank School Rank School
USA Europe
1 Harvard 1 Insead
2 Yale 2 London Business School
3 MIT (Sloan) 3 IMD Lausanne
3 Stanford 4 Oxford (Said)
5 Northwestern (Kellogg) 4 Rotterdam
4 SDA Bocconi

Insead is a Top-choice... and maybe the list will provide you with some interesting alternatives.
Sorry for the skewed table... I guess you can figure the ranking :)
cheers

Hey Pallavi,

Congrats on an awesome score! Im sure that score should open doors for you!
Im curious to hear more about your preparation. Especially the difficulty level between question in the GMAT Prep, PowerPrep, and other practice test and the actual GMAT!
Do post your split and how were the questions in quant and verbal! My G-Day is approaching soon...so your post will sure be of great help!

Congrats once again! The GMAT Clubbers are indeed going places!!

Quant: 50 Verbal : 38
Thanks a lot everyone.

As far my preparation goes my scores were fairly average. I was always
screwing up Kaplan big-time :- Almost all the test scores revolved around
610-630....(Infact in one of the tests I got terrible score in Maths). I frankly didn't even give all Kaplan tests (I think I took only 3 of those)
Princeton again was 700(+/-10) (I gave only 2 tests of Princeton).

I genuinely think that the final exam was extremely easy and straight forward.
Key was to ensure that the initial questions are attempted properly.I had couple of
probability questions, few geometry questions. Rest
mostly everything else was very straight forward.
In Verbal I got terribily screwed up in one of the four passages. I could't boil
to final answer in any of the 3-4 questions the passge had. (I was confused
in two choices). SC and CR was fine. I think the standard is
that of OG and PowerPrep. Maths was fairly straight forward (I typically used
tons of paper in Kaplan but final exam hardly had any calculations. )

I genuinely think that mental coolness is most important on the day. Maintain
cool, don't loose concentration and be confident. Always spare more time for questions in
the beginning.

I really don't have any more funde....I am toggling between Singapore and Bangalore
these day and I could barely spare time to do systematic studies. But I def don't
plan to take GMAT again...And if I manage to apply, I will use this score only.

Best of Luck Rahul..

Hope this helps...Please let me know if there is anything specific you want to ask. I will more than willing to answer..

Regds,
Pallavi.

Hi pallavi,
Even I am looking at INSEAD , but I havent given my GMAT yet. Will do so this satruday. How was your GMAT experience with respect to your practice tests (GMATprep and powerprep)?

From what ive heard of INSEAD, it is a top non -us B school and has a truly international flavour both in content and in the diversity of students. It is a highly rated program especially in the Asian and European markets and if thats where you'd like to be, then INSEAD is a top choice.

Hey GMATsoon,
It is good to hear that you are also thinking of applying to INSEAD. Actually I wanted to know about the job seen after passing out.
Infact I wanted to ask abt the possiblity of getting job in USA. My family is going to shift to US soon and given this fact I see no use of staying/working in EMEA or APAC region. I have been told that INSEAD offers Europe Asia oriented jobs. To what extent is that true?

(I don't want to apply in US becoz of the 2 year course and also the HUGE fees)
How easy is it to shift to US after the course is over?

Thanks,
Pallavi.

Hi Pallavi,

If you are looking to work in the US, a US school might definitely serve you better. Having said that, INSEAD is a amongst the best and the degree is recognised world wide, so you will never be at a disadvantage. If the length of the program is your only constraint, you should maybe consider applying to one year programs in the US, which schools like Cornell, Kellogg and Columbia offer. They work out to be almost the same cost as the INSEAD program ( roughly 2/3rds the cost of a 2 yr MBA) and am sure that your chances of admission are pretty good, given your score and work ex.

I am sure someone in this group will have more to add on INSEAD and other schools.

Please do let us know about your GMAT experience if you can. I for one will srely benefit from any last minute advice as I sit for the exam on Saturday. Good luck with your apps.

All the very Best Skanda.
As far as my GMAT experience is concerned :
I didn't have very good preparation but I think I managed to sail thrug only because I realized that confidence is the key to entire process.
GMAT Maths was very easy - I can only remember one question which was tricky (That was 37 Question for me) and I couldn't attempt well.
Rest everything was peaceful - I am sure where I lost marks (I got 50 in Maths).
Regding Verbal, my RC is very weak : I used to do terrible in Kaplan RC..
I did practice some RC using OG (which was comparitively easy) : GMAT standard was the same as OG RC...
Infact CR and SC were also of the same standard as OG. I think OG is a must to sail thrug and get oriented to the pattern of exam.
Rest I must say that I was lucky on that day.

Wish you all the very best.
