Hi everyone,
I've been a silent spectator on this forum for the last 2 months and am truly grateful to all here(GMATclub was a crucial part of this journey). I decided to give gmat a shot earlier this year and now finally have a 740. It's a surprising score since I wasn't expecting a V44 (I'm an Indian so I guess getting a V44 is a stretch goal for many of us). Whereas I was hoping for a Q49/50 as I've never scored lower
I'm mainly looking to apply to MIT Sloan, NYU Stern, Wharton( dreaming big!), Yale, Tuck in the US and Rotman in Canada.
Some key profile indicators:-
1. Bachelors' in Chemical engineering from a tier 1 university in India. Decent gpa. (3.7/4)
2. diverse work ex in A TOP FORTUNE 500 COMPANY in energy sector
3. Great acads prior to Undergrad(top scorer in school, college in few subjects).
4. Average extra curriculars + volunteering experience. Not much to speak here
5. Strong recommendations from current company(ex bosses)
Want to know if I stand a chance at some of these b-schools? And if I should hope for a scholarship from them?
And lastly, if I were to go for b-schools in the US which can offer me a fully funded program, which schools would they be? (I know they aren't going to be the top 15 ones for sure but just wondering/...)

Hi. Congrats on your score! That is pretty awesome you got a V44!
You are welcome to try the WAMC automated tool to see how you stack up. From my research 2 years ago when we were releasing this tool, it required about 750 for an Indian person to get into Ross/Fuqua/Stern. That was the lowest score I observed from Indian submissions. That may not be the minimum but that was the observed threshold.
(basically 30-40 points above average is the Indian average). Having a slightly diff profile and perhaps the V44 will help you stand out but I would not expect a scholarship from them (though it will be awesome if I am wrong and you got money - please prove me wrong 
- that would be a good thing). I think you could expect some $$$ from McCombs, Foster, Kelley, and Goizueta.

Wow thanks for responding BB! The verbal score came a surprise! and so did the quant coz I was consistently scoring Q50 on all sorts of mocks and during the actual exam I exceeded my break time which then ate into my quant section panicked and guessed the first couple questions.
In the verbal section, my mind threw away all the strategies I had gathered during my self study and just focused on the meaning/intent of the questions!
Yes, I am banking on my diverse work experience of finance + oil and gas strategy/optimization + the team lead role etc. Will try to make my profile as strong and appealing as I can!
How are job prospects for indians who graduate from Stern, Yale and the likes? I'm willing to take the financial burden if the risk is worth it
