Hi all,
2 questions.
1) I had originally scheduled to take my GMAT in Aug of this year. However, due to family a emergency I wasn't able to take my test nor change the date. Will the schools that I apply to be able to see that I was absent for the test? If so will it negatively impact my application in any way?
2) I am seriously considering signing up for the Kaplan class room course. What has been people's experience of the course. Did you see a mark improvement in your scores? I took a diagnostic test not too long ago earlier this summer and scored a misarable 450. If I take the Kaplan course how much can I realistically expect to raise my scores?

my 2 cents:
if ure bent upon joining a classroom session, Manhattan GMAT (https://www.manhattangmat.com) might be a better choice. From what I have read here and on other forums, their prep material is really good. Before u start prepping, I would suggest that you read some posts in the "Share Yr Experience" forum on this website and decide what will work for you. Due to the wide range of study materials available, its very easy to get on the wrong track. Needless to say, its very frustrating...
btw, this year, Kaplan has experienced a significant decrease in the GMAT enrollment in the US. This could be due to the improving US economy or due to increased competition in the test prep sector.

Thanks a ton. I never knew about manhattangmat...will check them out. Can you direct me to some other forums that you have found helpful or know where I can get any comparative analysis between the in class programs available. thanks again.
