It's obvious to face resistance while studying after 10 years. But, if acing the GMAT is your passion or deep desire, then you will find way to love quant. It'd be better to spend more time for understanding quant concepts & applying them on official questions until you start loving Quant section or you pretend of craving for quant till you really do so. Best of luck.

Hi Aalpaadhanak,

From your posts, it's not clear how long you have been studying. Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) Have you taken any practice CATs/mock tests yet? On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Hi Aalpaadhanak,

Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so since you've been studying for just 1.5 weeks, you should not expect to have mastered any of the concepts just yet. All of that having been said, you really MUST take an initial diagnostic CAT/mock sometime soon (perhaps this weekend). Many Test Takers are unhappy with their initial practice scores, but you really shouldn't be. It's just a measure of your skills right now - and we need to know your skills, strengths and weaknesses so that we can discuss your current study plan and any adjustments you might make to it.

In addition, it would also help to define your timeframe in a bit more detail:

1) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

It might be a good idea to take one of the two free GMAT practice tests. It may help you get an idea where you are at.
