Hey guys, just had a quick question for whoever has booked a test on this forum.
Ideally, I would like to book the test when I have done 3-4 practice CATS and am happy with the scores I am attaining. However, I would like to take the actual test as soon as possible once I feel I am ready (based on the CAT scores) so that I don't have to keep "refreshing" my memory while awaiting the actual test date.
So my question is, if I booked today, when would usually be the earliest I can write the test? If there's more than a two week minimum delay between booking date and actual test date, then I should consider booking it before I write the practice CATS (and pray that I do well enough to feel comfortable writing soon after).

From there you can click "Register for GMAT" or whatever the button is called and it will take you to a screen where you can select test centers in your area and see appointment availability. I live in a large metro area and there are several test centers, and I've checked periodically and you can sign up really soon if you want. I checked a few days ago and saw that I could even take the test this week if I wanted.
The closer you are to the actual day you want to take the test, the less flexibility you will have in choosing specific days/times. I would say just to be safe, sign up at least 2-3 weeks in advance.
