Good afternoon! I am doing Quizzes  and when I end the exam, so of the questions that I have done do not appear in the Error Log. I then struggle to find the question I did to check other approaches.
Also sometimes the question answered appears twice

Could it be a bug error?

Thank you very much in advance!

No, this happens when I take Quant questions.
For example I just did 15 and in the Error Log appears 13. They were arithmetic and distance rate

Thank you so much.
This is very helpful! do you know if you actually attempted 15 questions and error log somehow is not showing 2 or the system served you 13 questions and you only attempted 13?

One issue that has happened in the past and we’re working to fix, is people clicking next button and sometimes clicking it multiple times. It is possible to skip a question in the sequence if you click next. It will not flag and it will not tell you that you are required to answer it, it will just skip it.

I’m trying to figure out if it is the skipping that’s the problem here or you actually took 15 questions without skipping any and the error log to some reason is not reflecting it.

😬

I was cautious clicking the answer choice and then clicking next bottom but I will double-check next time just in case...
Another thing is that I had the filter "fresh only" and I got some questions I had already done. For example this question I had attempt it in January and even commented the post https://gmatclub.com/forum/a-certain-st ... 34064.html and it has appeared in today´s Quizz

Thank you. Let me ask the tech team to look into both of these issues. it’s really helpful to have the link to the second question!

Sweet thank you very much!
One last thing: when downloading the error log spreadsheet, is there any tip to convert the column "time taken" to time? When I change the number format it somehow does not work. I am ensuring that the cell is formatted with custom format such as "[h]:mm:ss" to properly display extended time values however it is not working.
I am trying to see my average time per topic and per difficulty level but I am unable to do so due to this.

Thanks again!

Hi. Let me check on the Excel for matting for the time when I get home in front of a computer.

I do have a response from our tech team that had a chance to look into the timer for the question you linked. Unfortunately the answer is not very satisfying.

It appears that the timer for this question in your history was taken today for the very first time. The system records every attempt and specifically the first attempt and it has today’s date. The tech team did not doubt that you likely took the question but the result that they see is that when you took the question in January, for some reason the response did not save in your error log. Maybe a button was not clicked or maybe you did click a button but the system had an error and just crapped out. The crap out errors are very rare but they do happen…. And the investigation into the question concluded that the quiz system works correctly but that there may have been a malfunction with recording your answer in the very first time for unknown reason. When they try to dig deeper, we only save detailed logs for one month and so since this is more than a month ago, those logs are now deleted so we couldn’t investigate further unfortunately to determine what exactly happened in January.

We will take a look at the latest session to see if you attempted 13 or 15 questions and understand what happened with the missing two.

😢

ruis, about the excel, it seems to be a "bug" in excel when it comes to averages and time. Excel does not understand that the time is a number, so what you need to do to fix it. An easy way to tell that a number is stored as text is that the alignment is to the left - text is always aligned to left and numbers always aligned to right.

Here is how to fix it:  Select the whole column F, then go to DATA, and then Text to Column. Go through the process and choose General as the option.

That will convert all times into basically weird numbers or 0.00. That's normal. Then go to the format and choose mm:ss as format. And you are done.

hope it helps.

Also, have an update on your 15 questions. Apparently you did take 15. Looking into it further why only 13 in the group. So you are not crazy.

Ok. Got the update. I have incorrectly interpreted the first email from the dev team.... or maybe they told me a different thing. Let's put it on me.

Anyway, what the logs showed is that you requested and the system served 15 questions but only 13 had timer records so the 2 may have been skipped by pressing the next button or another reason. So they had 2 numbers: 15 served and 13 answered. 😬
