I recently took the GMAT exam almost a week ago and filed a complaint regarding the time I lost during the break between the the IR section & the math section because the proctors was not able to input the username & password before the break ended.
Before taking the exam, I was prompted by the proctors that I need not raise my hand if I wanted to take a break and they would simply notice if I suddenly stepped out of the testing room. They also informed me that they would automatically input any requirements necessary so that i can immediately begin the next section during my break.
Since I arrived at my desk around 30 seconds before the 8 minute break finished, they were only able to enter the username and password after my break time reached 8 minutes and 40 seconds. I was thus penalized by the system for exceeding the break time by 40 seconds which made me loose precious time that needed in the math section as well as rattling me for the first few questions.
I filed a complaint last week to
[email protected] as suggested by there official website but have not responded to me for almost a week.
In light of this, I would like to know if emailing them is a reliable way of reaching out to them or are there better alternatives.
P.S. In there website they have an AU & INDIA telephone line for customer service. Would the calls be toll-free if I call them from overseas ( I am neither from India or Australia)?
Thanks for your feedback on this.
