I think you should give an online course a shot. To see what is available, take a look at the GMAT Club reviews for the best quant and verbal courses, and also read through some GMAT success stories to see what materials have worked well for other test-takers.

You also may find it helpful to read this article about how to score a 700+ on the GMAT.

Good luck!

Hi Berdnikoff,

There are lots of different study materials that you might use over the course of your studies. While you might be thinking about an 'offline', in-person class setting, that option presents a number of 'restrictions' that can make it inconvenient (such as classes only being offered at specific times and locations that might not fit your schedule, unclear make-up options for if you 'miss' a class, ending up with an instructor who is not to your liking, etc.). You should certainly investigate all of the available options, but you would likely find it easier (on a variety of levels) to enroll in an online Course of some type (either Guided Self-study or instructor-led).

Since it sounds like you're just beginning your studies, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can take 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.

I'd like to know a bit more about your timeline and goals:
1) What is your goal score?
2) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Hi everyone!

I am planning to start my long journey in GMAT preparation and I am looking for the "offline" courses in Moscow. Does anyone here have an experience with the GMAT courses in Moscow? Or I should take online courses like Magoosh, Economist etc?
Assuming that you are a first time GMAT taker who has just decided to take the test.
Before you jump into any course keep in mind that starting any preparation without any warmup is not healthy - particularly offline courses. You would not want to just do things to keep pace with the course providers. At least, by that theory online are good - you can adjust it your way. Take a trial of any course you like.
But again before you do that, you need to go through course-content/basic-learning by yourself so that you are a little accustomed to what is taught in the courses. Hope you are getting the point.

So, buy some books - Manhattan SC Guide(or the set if you feel you are rusty), Powerscore CR Bible, not to mention latest OGs. You can download GMAT Club Math and Verbal book also.
