There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
If I take the GMAT in November and don't have my scores sent to schools and then take the GMAT in December and have my scores sent to schools, will those schools see how I did on the earlier attempt?
If you receive a score, it will appear on the score report. Since so many schools use the highest score to evaluate you, this does not seem to be a major concern.
