Can you please let me know whom and where to contact to get a free rescheduling? I tried contacting GMAT Customer care and they said name change is in progress and after that I'll get to know

Hi

I was not allowed to take the test on the exam day since my name in my passport and application didn't match. I had an Initial extra in my application. Now I need to change the name in the application according to my passport and take the test again. I already spoke with customer care and they said the name change is in progress and a case number has been assigned to it.
Please let me know how long this will take and how to track it? Since I need to take the exam ASAP, I wanted to know how long this name change will take to book a new slot.
Also does this count towards my attempt of a total of 8 attempt?

Thanks

Hi muralis18,

How long did it take for your issue to be resolved? I am facing the same issue and I am yet to hear back from customer care

Hi srix207,

After you raise the issue with the GMAC care, they'll roughly take 5-7 days to revert back saying that the name is changed as per you're passport. In my case, it took 3-4 days I believe.

Post that you need to book a new slot to schedule the exam and take it. Because in my experience, GMAC won't consider rescheduling the exam since name mismatch is a mistake from our end.

If you did not sit for the exam, it is unlikely it will count towards your 8 attempts.
