Hi
I was not allowed to take the test on the exam day since my name in my passport and application didn't match. I had an Initial extra in my application. Now I need to change the name in the application according to my passport and take the test again. I already spoke with customer care and they said the name change is in progress and a case number has been assigned to it.
Please let me know how long this will take and how to track it? Since I need to take the exam ASAP, I wanted to know how long this name change will take to book a new slot.
Also does this count towards my attempt of a total of 8 attempt?

I'm not sure how long the name change will take, but I can say that showing up at the test center but not taking the GMAT will not count as one of your 8 attempts.
