Hi. I am sorry, this seems to be a bug in the GMAT Club Test ESR that is being produced.
There has not been a change except an update that was released to the GMAT Club tests in the last 24 hours (we make incremental feature updates) and it seems that has thrown off the analytics. Sorry to scare you - we will remove that line completely since it is not really needed (it is present in the original report but it's been years since the test has changed)

Thank you,
BB

P.S. Changed the subject to avoid confusing anyone.

0Lucky0
Guys,
I am unable to understand why the gmatclub tests say the following on ESR Reports:
For Verbal:
Please Note: If you sat for the GMAT exam prior to January 17, 2023 this section contained 66 questions, on or after January 17, 2023 the section consists of 144 questions.

For Quant:
Please Note: If you sat for the GMAT exam prior to January 17, 2023 this section contained 37 questions, on or after January 17, 2023 the section consists of 31 questions.

I AM UNABLE TO VERIFY THIS ANYWHERE ONLINE. SEARCHED GOOGLE AND FOUND NOTHING!!
Can anyone please help me understand what this is all about and whether it is for real?
If it's for real then what exactly is changing and why no one is saying anything about this?

I am really worried. :(

Aah, is it? Well, then gmatclub should also keep this on the reports? Makes it look more authentic. ;)
But does it really say "2023" on the original reports as well? If it does then it's all good.
But if the original reports say some other year than 2023 such as 2014 or 2015, etc then gmatclub should also change the year to such a number. :) Coz I wouldn't really have been worried if it had said 2016 or 2017, etc as it clearly shows that its not for real.
I think the better course of action could be creating a page about this just to let people know that this is on the original reports as well. :)
Just giving my two cents. :) Upto you to decide what to do about this. :)
But I would suggest that gmatclub keep this on the reports if it does indeed exist on the original reports as well. :) Much more authentic experience. ;)

Aah, Thank you so much. :)
But you see, the thing is, I just completely bombed the yesterday test. :P lol, I think I made a record of sorts on here yesterday on how low a score a person could get. :P hahahaha
I got an 8 on Quant and quant is my stronger suit. :P hahahahaha, See what I mean? :P
But yea, I admit that I was completely exhausted in the evening when I gave this test. :P Had to drink like 6 cups of coffee just to get though to the end. :P hahaha
I hadn't really practiced either to be ready for the test, I just saw "free tests today on MLK" and wanted to see what the test experience was really like and this was my first ever Gmat test mock so I wasn't really sure how the scoring system worked either. :P
But yea, excuses aside. :P I really bombed big time. :P Don't wanna see these tests again until Feb, :P hahahaha
But jokes aside, I think I am at around 650 level. :) I wanna cross the 700 level by 1st Feb. :P So will give these tests then. :P
So if it were possible for you to postpone my reward to 1st Feb, I would be grateful. :) Thank You again for this. :)

Hi 0Lucky0.

I'm not sure why it says that the Verbal section went from 44 to 166 questions. That change did not and will not occur.

Also, these changes will not occur in 2023. They occurred in the past.

Here are the two changes that occurred.

The Quant section went from 37 questions to 31 questions.

The Verbal section went from 41 questions to 36 questions.

Both of these reductions were achieved through reductions in the number of experimental questions in the sections. The number of counted questions in each section remained the same.

If you're curious about the difference between counted questions and experimental questions on the GMAT, see this post.

What are Experimental Questions in the GMAT?
I see. :) Thank you for the info. :) Really appreciate it. :)

In addition to prep, making sure you are in peak condition for this exam can also be helpful. Consider working on making your sleep pattern regular and figuring out what time of the day (or night) you are most "alert" for taking an exam. Perhaps mornings are better for you than evenings.

How to score high on the GMAT. Why solving approach is important.

lol, na man. That's not what I meant. :P The ESR report had nothing to do with me bombing the test. :P I just wasn't in the right condition to say the least. :P
The point that I was trying to make was that I won't be able to use the two more weeks of tests because I already bombed it. :P So need to practice now and will only be able to take tests after Feb when the membership won't be there. :) That's what I was trying to say. :)
You are a nice man. :) Thanks. :)
