Hi All,
Wrote the GMAT today. scored 710, 95th percentile. Screwed up a little in both math and verbal - 48-Q and 39-V. Disappointed, as was hoping to score closer to the 750 mark. Anyways, its done now. Will share my inputs for what its worth.
AWA was a breeze and I am hoping for a good score. Took my 5 min break and got in just in time for the quant section. The first 2 questions were very easy. But as stated by other posters, the questions started getting tough from Q3 onwards. One of the resaons for the low quant score is that I messed up on timings. I was takin close to 3.5 minutes in the first 15 questions - the questions were not necessarily difficult but wordy, lengthy, not straightforward and required some amount of computation. Plus I was doublecheckin to ensure I didnt do wrong. So for the last 10/12 questions I did not have more than 1 min left - so thats where i think it went wrong. Question types, 1 probability (very easy), 2 Combination. I got about 4 questions covering standard deviation, range, median, average, etc. 2 co-ordinate geometry. In nutshell, I would say the questions werent that difficult, but were definitely testing you on time - more so than the OG questions or the kaplan questions do. I have never been so lost on time on any of my previous tests, I was on this one. Quant got over, and I was sure I had screwed up badly. Was already thinking of retakin the test, etc. Washed my face and was back in time for verbal. Overall I had felt that I had performed better in Verbal than in quant (in terms of percentile, I have scored 89% in verbal and 88% in Math, so not much of a difference there) I would say the verbal wasnt all that difficult. I found the CR's relatively easy, 1 boldfaced, which wasnt all that tricky. SC's were more in number. lengthy and close choices. I got RC's of length 60 max. I have to say, that except the first one, the other 3 RC's were not length, but with confusing answer choices - I found OG and Kaplan RC's with relatively easier choices - but here it wasnt so. I finished Verbal wtih 2 mins to spare.
I didnt know what to expect when clicked on the score. 710 in one way was a pleseant surprise and in other ways a big disappointment. Anyways, thats it for now. I have been a very recent member of this forum, in terms of participation, and thanks to hardworker, Paul, venksune and all others out there for making this a rocking forum. I am undecided on whether to retake it or not. Its the type of score which leaves you feeling distinctly dissatisfied. Any thoughts would be welcome. I will remain on the board - hopefully an active member. If there any questions, do shoot them.

Wow. Great score and very well done. 710 is good and I dont think you need to re-take - unless you want to give additional business to ETS
