I would like to share my GMAT experience here very briefly.Remember the devil lies in the details.
I would suggest everyone never to follow anyone's strategy blindly as every strategy is not made for everyone.
Also, never follow anyone's advice blindly just by reading them on the forum.There may be n ways to apply the same strategy to get same/different results.I would suggest talking to a person in detail before following his approach in anything related to GMAT.
So, I had a rather extra-marital reluctant affair with GMAT since doing MBA was not my first choice ( another story for a different occassion).
I started GMAT prep in Nov 2019 with the standard materials including OG.
My approach was to focus mostly on my comparatively weaker areas ( Verbal) since my quant part was already strong ( See my signature to know the reason

)
After 3-4 months of casual preparation, I wrote GMAT and landed with a disappointing 650.
This was a setback for me and I realised that getting my target score in GMAT is not as easy as I thought it to be.
Gradually, I picked up the tempo and started solving only 700+ questions from Manhattan,Veritas etc for a couple of months.
When my mock scores stabilised around 700+, I decided to give it another shot and thankfully got 710.
It was good enough to land me one of the coveted MBA programs in India.
