I am currently with TTP just want more advise and inputs in what can be done to expedite this growth especially since I am dedicating to this full-time

Checking out some prep journey posts in the Share GMAT Experience subforum could provide some helpful insight. You could see which resources people have found success with and get a sense how long/likely different score jumps may be. A quick tip, if you feel it takes you a bit of time to warm up when taking a mock, would be to a few questions beforehand (i.e., not letting the first questions you see on mock or exam day be those of the actual test itself).

Sure will do that! I am alr in a prep course atm with TTP, do you think I should supplement with weekly mocks from experts global? Cos I struggle with time management so much too and basics.

Ayeka
Pick a concept, revise the basics and then solve Timed quizess of that concept in FORUM QUIZ.
If you are having problem with time management or focusing continuously for long time, then you might consider taking sectional mocks daily.
If you revised your basics and done a lot of practice and still not improving the you might consider checking out some prep courses that could help you find your weak sections and help you make better strategies for exam.

Hope it helps!

Hi Salman23,

Aside from the practice tests you mentioned, are you planning to take any of the official practice tests?

Hi Salman23,

Have you also been studying full time for the past 2 months? With 1 more month of full time study, you still will not be able to finish the TTP program?

Second the advice above - probably just to supplement with some official practice tests from mba.com.

Hi Salman23,

Although I think the jump you are looking for could be tight in just a month, I'm happy to provide some advice on how to move forward with your prep.

My biggest piece of advice is to ensure you are studying topically. In other words, be sure to focus on just ONE quant or verbal topic at a time and practice just that topic until you achieve mastery. If you can study that way, you will start seeing incremental improvement.

For example, let's say you are studying Number Properties. First, you'll need to learn all you can about that topic, and then practice only Number Property questions. After each problem set, thoroughly analyze your incorrect questions. For example, ask yourself why if you got a remainder question wrong. Did you make a careless mistake? Did you not properly apply the remainder formula? Was there a concept you did not understand in the question?

By carefully analyzing your mistakes, you will be able to fix your weaknesses efficiently and, in turn, improve your GMAT quant skills. Number Properties is just one example; follow this process for all quant and verbal topics.

For some more tips on the best way to structure your studying, here is a great article:

The Best Way to Study for the GMAT

Good luck!

With your tight timeline for a 100+ point jump, the key is to focus equally on test-taking skills and conceptual improvements.

While concepts are important, GMAT questions give you multiple ways to work towards the correct answer including things like answer elimination and estimation (there are many more similar test taking skills). The more you work on those test taking skills (which help you across topics and play a big role in higher difficulty questions), the faster you'll achieve score jumps in each section.

Diagnostics to identify your key gaps in each area (especially test taking skills again) is also critical to focusing your prep efforts -- you don't have the time to waste on inefficient unfocused prep.

Hi Ajitesh!

Yes I bought all the mocks in mba.com too. It seems like I am missing the part where I can effectively reflect on it and know exactly what I am weak in and how to effectively improve from that mistake.

That's great, because those are the best practice tests available.

Also, have you already used some or all of those (6) tests? Just keep in mind that most people are able to take each official practice test twice, so maybe you can still use some of the official practice tests before your retake.
