In a similar boat, I don't think the lower DI should be a problem. You can check with admissions team if there is a sectional cutoff that they consider.

Thanks for the reply - the idea was to try and get slightly better at the academics section since my undergrad GPA was ~7.5 (and am an engineer male) so wanted to try and cover up a bit on that front as 675 might have just been close to the median score.

RR_study - You can go ahead and apply with the score split you have. It won't be a problem for ISB.

Hi all,

I gave my GMAT FE today and score a 695 (100 percentile in Quant, 96 percentile in Verbal and 73 percentile in DI) - Could the low percentile in DI be an issue while applying to ISB. My earlier score was 675 ( 85 percentile in Quant, 84 percentile in Verbal and 96 percentile in DI)?

Dear RR_study,

We believe that the lower percentile in DI should not be a major hurdle for you, especially as your overall score is quite strong and comfortably above the median. As always, we would like to reiterate that the GMAT score is just one part of the overall application process. Whether or not your profile gets shortlisted will depend greatly on how effectively you are able to stitch your story together and highlight your strengths in your application.

At Team FLY, we are a collective of ISB alumni committed to supporting prospective MBA applicants with profile positioning, essay reviews and interview preparation. We also share detailed guidance on MBA applications through our YouTube channel, and our latest video on ISB admissions essays can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZPE97krOHo.

In line with our commitment to outcomes and applicant success, we are currently offering a 50 percent value-back guarantee for the first time ever, to make our offerings even more applicant centric.

Hi RR_study,

ISB considers the overall percentile and not section-wise scores so much.

Good luck!
