I just gave my first GMAT FE exam today and got 595 even though I was getting around 625-635 on my official mocks. I have been preparing for GMAT diligently for around 5 months now and so I thought to go for an attempt even though my target was a bit higher than I received in mocks. I was a bit shocked with the outcome, quant being my strongest suite, I was expecting atleast a Q84 but I achieved a mere Q82 (way below what I was usually scoring on my mocks and sectionals). I started my exam in the order Quant -> Verbal -> DI
I am not sure what exactly happened but during the test I did feel like Quant was a bit too easy. I am attaching my score report and would love to get some help understanding exactly what went wrong? How is it that even though I got 19 out of 21 quant questions correct, my quant score was so low? How to ensure I get hard questions so I can raise my score in actual exam?
Also, I am considering to go for a second attempt but not entirely sure on what more to do? Since I really practiced a lot and while I know there's way more scope of improvement but I thought I'll score atleast a 625 on my official exam. The 595 (Q82, V80, DI 77) tbh was a bit crushing especially since idk how could I have ensured getting harder questions in quant.
For Verbal, I am a bit disappointed with my performance in actual exam so definitely going to work a bit more on it. Would love some advice to help me understand how is it that I can make sure I score atleast the same as my mocks during real exam?
I have attached my score reports, any guidance would be much appreciated.
For Q3, Q15 I had flagged them initially but corrected them during review.
Final scores:
Quant -> 76th Percentile -> Q82
Verbal -> 57th Percentile -> V80
DI -> 63rd Percentile -> DI 77
