Can anyone shed some light on the recent trend of GMAT FE? Been hearing too many stories from reddit forum and some of my friends as well about questions suddenly becoming more language heavy and more non math related questions in DI? Back to back RCs in Verbal. All of this are not there in the official mocks. So does that mean the official mocks are outdated and are not true reflection of the actual exam? Really tensed seeing and knowing some of the question types asked in the real exam. Haven’t come across them much in my prep so far.

Is your concern non-math related questions or is your concern unpredictability of the test?
I have some sour news.... I don’t think there is a trend really.... There are definitely some variations - some people for example will get four reading comprehension passages in a row and some will get more non-math related questions and others will get super easy questions while some folks will get super hard ones. There’s quite a bit of variability on the test but it doesn’t mean there is a trend.
The fact that a certain number of questions is experimental is also makes it very hard to determine what matters for the score. However, there’s no exact formula for how many certain questions you will get. We’re not told how many non-math related questions there will be. That may be one or maybe a lot you need to be prepared to perform the best you can.
I would say that it is actually counterproductive to change the test significantly and make the scores noncomparable for GMAC so they’re not motivated or interested in really changing it. There are definitely some weird things happening but that’s more of a side effect of how the test is built and how it works as opposed to some bigger change.
Just my 2 cents.
