Hi everyone, thank you all for your responses and helpful tips!
I am very happy to update that I just retook the exam few hours ago, this time online and with none of the distractions of the center, and got 770! 🥳
Q48 V49 or other way around, I was so emotional after seeing the 770 I clicked exit before taking the time to look properly haha.
I couldn't believe it as I thought I did badly on quant and honestly both quant and verbal seemed much harder on average than I had seen previously in mocks. Last 2/3 quant I had to guess due to running out of time but seemed easy enough so I think with 2 more minutes I could have even gotten 780 but thats ok
I ugly cried tears of relief right after.
Overall, I have to say redoing the offical question banks over and over and over again multiple times until there were very few mistakes was the best strategy. I didn't create groups of 36/31 but instead would start each bank with the goal of finishing in one go.
For example I would select hard or med difficulty, and go through 200 questions (with solution after each in study mode) and take short breaks by clicking pause when got too tired.
But everyone's mind is different and another strategy might've worked better for someone else.
So on to the applications process! 😁

Hi everyone,
Looking to get some advice or tips for the retake.
I took the center exam today in the morning and the center was really noisy with the examiner talking behind the door loudly and no sound proof headphones offered. I did well on quant and felt excited to get to verbal but with the sound it felt like all I could concentrate on was the conversation sounds coming from behind the door.
I kept re reading the RC CR questions and struggling to focus. Ive never had this issue in practice nor in OG Mocks. Opposite, Ive always been quite good at verbal and specially in RC CR. Always gotten at least 42 in verbal and 47 in my best mock attempts.
I just don't know how to deal with this, im definitely looking to retake this time online version with no sound and with comfort of being able to take breaks and drink eat something, and I am looking to retake within two weeks or less but Im afraid of facing a similar brain feeze in verbal.
I just honestly never have struggled with being able to answer/get through long texts before, I just had to rush through the 2/3 rd part of the verbal barely having time to read anything due to wasting so much time in the first 10 questions trying to focus but being unable to concentrate. I think I guessed the last 7 or so questions as I was out of time.
Any advice for this? I think of again going though the official practice banks (Ive already gone through them multiple times) and just focusing on time management. I am thinking of allocating enough time for daily lsat practice with focus on time management but also making sure to keep quant practice not to lose the quant skills.
I really think its more of a mental block thing than a knowledge thing though. I do have ADHD and focus has always been a difficult/ fluctuating area but still I think if I had practiced more, even with the noise I would have done better.
But any advice or tip is appreciated!
