Hi, I am starting to feel a bit scared about my MBA applications and I’m looking for advice. I recently scored a 635 on the GMAT, which is similar to my usual mock scores (645-655). My quant score, in particular, dropped from my typical 90th percentile to around 60th. With Round 1 deadlines approaching, I’m concerned if this score is competitive for the top 15 U.S. business schools.
For context, I’m originally from Nepal, completed my undergrad in Computer Science in the U.S. 2 years ago and currently work as a software developer II at a small-mid company with about 400 employees. I have promoted once in 2 years. I also founded a nonprofit focused on mentorship in Nepal and was actively involved in extracurriculars during undergrad.
Are these experiences strong enough to offset my score? Or should I aim for a higher GMAT to be considered competitive?
Thank you!
