Hi everyone!

I want to share with you my journey to achieving a score of 655 on the GMAT Focus Official.

It all started a couple of years ago when I decided to pursue an MBA and started preparing for the GMAT. Long story short, I had the goal of achieving +700, took it 4 times and my best official score was 640. Far from the +700 I consistently scored on the mocks. Reviewing some ESRs, I detected that where I struggle the most was in SC so when I heard about the GMAT Focus I felt that now was my chance to achieve +700.

I prepared for 2 months and on November 10 I took the GMAT Focus for the first time. When I saw the score on the screen I was really disappointed as I got 605 (Q79 / V81 / D80). Far below from what I was performing in the mocks as well. I stopped studying every day, practicing some exercises on certain days of the week so as not to lose the training. Without worrying too much about the result this time, on Thursday 07 I logged on to see the available schedule to take the GMAT Focus again and found a spot for the next day, Friday 08. This time I decided to do it in the afternoon instead of the morning like the previous times and for some reason I felt more relaxed.

During the exam, I felt quite confident during the Quant and Verbal section. On the other hand, I found DI to be quite difficult and cumbersome. However, once the exam was over, I felt an enormous happiness when I saw the 655 (93rd percentile) on the screen.

GMAT Focus order:
- Quant (Q84 - 4 wrong)
- Verbal (Q85 - 8 wrong)
Break
- Data Insights (Q79 - 5 wrong)

The DI score was the one that surprised me the most since in the previous exam I got a score of 80 with 9 wrongs. So, I should have had a better score but that's another mystery of the GMAT Focus.

Happy to answer any questions related to my preparation or the test experiencie!

Wow, 655 is a solid score! Good luck for your applications!
