Dear All,
I am planning to dive deep into my GMAT Focus Edition preparation, and as someone coming from a
non-technical/non-engineering background, I have a few key strategic questions before I start. I would greatly appreciate it if any experienced prep veterans or experts could shed some light on these queries.
1. Preparation Timeline
Is
6–7 months of dedicated study generally sufficient for finishing the overall study material and securing a competitive GMAT Focus Edition score of
695+?
2. Material Integration Strategy
I have come across various prep materials (e.g.,
TTP, OG). What is the recommended strategy for integrating them?
- Should I finish my primary prep material first and then attempt the Official Guide (OG) material later?
- Or, is it better to prepare simultaneously from both the primary course and the official sources?
3. Official Content Organization
Where can I find the
solved Official Content (questions and explanations) arranged systematically by topic and difficulty level, specifically for the
latest GMAT Focus Edition Official Guides?
4. Practice Question Source
Should I focus
only on official questions for practice? If so, where can I find a question bank that is verified to contain only questions from the
latest GMAT Focus Edition and not the previous GMAT versions?
I'm currently conflicted about my study approach: Should I focus
rigorously on official content to master the precise question patterns, or should I also enroll in a prep company, despite concerns that their practice questions may
not accurately mimic the official GMAT style. I'm struggling to choose my primary resource. Is the best strategy to practice only official questions to ensure I get used to the exact patterns and wording, or is the benefit of a prep company's structured learning (even with less precise questions) worth the trade-off? Thank you in advance for any guidance you can offer!
