Yes may be with a little bit of limit. GRE has a type of question called Quantitative Comparison (QC) that is not found on GMAT. you will need to perfect this section using GRE books. GRE does not have data sufficiency questions, so completely skip this question type.
I really don't know much about GRE quant , But i have seen NOVA maths book of gre which has same sylabus as Gmat except 2 chapters ( QC and DS). I guess basic math fundamentals tested are same for chapters like profit loss, ratio proportion, geometry, etc but every test has its own style of questions. May be you should give a diagnostic mock test of GRE and get a feel of what GRE maths is all about. Then you can check if there is any value in reading Gmat maths.

Hey dude,
I gave my GRE exam exactly an year back. I prepared for some 3 days or th Quants section and scored 770. They have 2 types of questions. One is the problem solving types and the other one is Data interpretation. ( You need to analyse a graph and answer the questions. ) You dont have to put in a lot of effort for problem solving except for Data Interpretation. And just 27 questions. Will be a cake walk mostly. And there are blogs which update you with every month questions. And it is so poorly structured that if you take the test by the end of a month probably around 22nd or 23rd you are more likely to get the same question templates with just the numbers different. I mean you can expect repetition of such type in atleast 5 or 6 questions. IMO GMAT is challenging and but not GRE.
