Hi. You are correct that DS has changed.
Most DS test wards problems. It’s no longer pure arithmetic but it’s a word problem based calculations. It does not mean that you do not need to know arithmetic but you will never see a question such as what is the square root of 5X or something like that.
We have manually reviewed every single question in the
GMAT club tests and removed all the ones that don’t fit in the pattern of GMAT Focus. When did up removing about 70% of all data sufficiency questions.
For the quiz, we also removed the categories that are no longer tested on the data sufficiency and only the categories that are tested appear now in the quiz.
That’s all I can tell you without seeing specific questions. However, I recommend getting an official guide and reviewing the questions there to get an idea for what GMAC is suggesting you should be prepared to face.
PS. There is a very small number of logical data sufficiency questions non-math related). They were included only in the online question bank of the official guide last year and I believe their number was 10 or 12….
