I have gained much from being a silent observer of this forum and so here comes my little contribution.
I will keep my experience as brief as I don't have much to share. Neither did I have a very ambitious score nor could I put so much for GMAT prep however when I was stuck then I was looking for expert help and one of my acquaintances from India told me to take help from someone. I did my little research on the options available in the market and found a comparison chart on internet (attached)
I took the free trial class and it was really impressive to see bhoopendra finding out loopholes in my attempt. Though I was never so bad at quant but my score was miserable and I was always ending up with score of 39-40 in Quant. I specially found his ability to explain reasons of my mistakes as exemplary and signed up for just 15 classes which I took in about 20 days. My score now jumped to 47 in Quant and that helped me achieve a target of 620+
Course Material:
OG, Manhattan,
GMATinsight sheets (I could only do 50% of their sheet which each had about 100+ questions), GMATCLUB forum, GMAT Prep
my first attempt
GMAT-540
Q-39 V-28
My second attampt
GMAT-650
Q-47 V-32
The only thing that helped me improve score was an Intense exercise with the good quality questions and identifying my mistakes.
