Ok so I took the test 2 weeks ago, got a respectable 680 but I want better. I was definitely humbled by the test since my practice scores were 710+. I was going to reschedule in 5 weeks but then I realized, will 5 weeks of studying really be beneficial over 2 and a half weeks of more focused solid studying? For one, I don't think it will help in verbal. I scored a 38 in verbal on test, but score 40+ in practice. I think 2 weeks of RC and CR prep will be enough and keep me focused. ( I didnt touch one of them a week before test since I was sick)
Quant, well, I score 48-50 in gmatprep with only a handful of repeats (46 on real test). I definitely possess holes in quant but it probably would take more than 5 weeks to repair, considering I have been at this test for months and months. Also I was forced to rush through a few questions to catch up, because I killed myself on 1 or 2 questions with time, DONT DO THIS
So I believe since all my practice exams were above 700, and one real test under the belt, I can make up that 20 point difference.
If not, I'll be at this again for a 3rd time ! yikes

You can take it again, but some schools do frown on more than two attempts. If you feel you are not ready for the second then you may want to push it back until you are 100% confident.
