Hey guys! Long time lurker and a big fan of this website.
I just have a question.
When I was preparing for my GMAT,I used to think that it will be unicorns and rainbows once I scored around 700 range.However,when I gave my gmat this november I scored a 720 and felt nothing.This nothingness has been killing me and I have no clue what to do about it.My parents,friends ,and other gmat wannabes that I know are so happy with my score but all I can think about is retaking the gmat.
Can you all please guide me what should I do here?I dont even know if my score is good or good enough anymore :? .


P.S-I took 9 practice tests(6 manhattan, 3 official gmatprep) back to back before my gmat exam.They were all taken under exam conditions at the same time(afternoon slot).I scored a 780 in my last one.

Hi
First of all congratulations for your good score.
As I understand, since you scored 780 in your last mock test you expected a higher score. However, 720 is a good score and you can apply to any college with this score. After all, your ultimate aim is to get into the college of your choice.
I would suggest to go ahead with your applications and work on your profile rather than retaking the Gmat.

Congrats! 720 is a good score and I think its better to spend time preparing a solid application for this year.

However, if you dont get into your dream school this year and you think you are 780 material, you should retake next year. However, please read through the success and failure stories before making any final decision.

Congrats - 720 is a great score that won't keep most folks from a bschool.
Unless you are from an over-represented group or hunting for scholarship money at a Top 25'ish or looking to go into consulting, you can stop with the GMAT.

If you feel you can improve your score and bump it up without major inconvenience, then you can join the other 10,000 people here fishing for higher scores.
