McKinsey, probably the most world famous and renowned strategy consulting firm, publishes on its website tons of quality business contents that I literally divour.

However, I always missed their quarterly PDF publication and well, it is amazing.

Every MBA aspirant should read. For me is a must.

I have uploaded the entire collection of, since the 2014 today.

All the issues are in the McKinsey folder.

Enjoy

Hi carcass,

First of all - a big thank you. I am a big fan of all your collections on the GC.

Now that is behind us - I was trying to access the mckinsey folder and all the sub-folders seem to be empty. Could it be that it is so fresh that the contest is still uploading from your end or is something broken. Please look into it whenever you get a chance :-)

Thanks for the uploads.

Best,
Gladi

Let me know whether you do have any problem with the folder.

Added the book Friedrich Hayek Shortcut to Serfdom - A Readers Guide into the folder FEE.org

Quote:
The Road to Serfdom (German: Der Weg zur Knechtschaft) is a book written between 1940 and 1943 by Austrian British economist and philosopher Friedrich Hayek, in which the author "[warns] of the danger of tyranny that inevitably results from government control of economic decision-making through central planning." He further argues that the abandonment of individualism and classical liberalism inevitably leads to a loss of freedom, the creation of an oppressive society, the tyranny of a dictator, and the serfdom of the individual. Hayek challenged the general view among British academics that fascism (including National Socialism) was a capitalist reaction against socialism. He argued that fascism, National Socialism and socialism had common roots in central economic planning and empowering the state over the individual.

Hi carcass

Thank you again for such a great collection. Your efforts are much appreciated. I have been struggling for long with social science/ humanities articles and this will help me tonnes, I am sure. As I have a very tight schedule during office hours and I can never solve any quant or verbal question, I decided to start reading a bunch of articles from newspapers during office hours. But, personally i have felt that they are useless in context to actual GMAT questions and the type of reading that is required is very abstract.

Coming to my query, I require your assistance in pointing out certain highly intensive and dense reading material for
Social Sciences/Humanities passages. Economic related passages would not hurt either :)

A little walk through of the folder would be amazing, category and difficulty wise.

Thank you for your sincere efforts :) God Bless !
Comprehension is a nightmare :p

Hi,

thank you so much for your kind words and appreciation.

However, would be difficult to scheme this collection in a different level of difficulty because what for me is easy for you could result in a tough reading.

In general, all the reding you find in this folder is in the mid/upper level but towards the upper side of the story.

Not only that, you do have tons of passages you are looking for: just go into the Freeman folder or the official University of Chicago Booth Magazine: this is a really good article from the latter "THE PRESENT AND FUTURE VALUE OF BACKWARD-LOOKING EMOTIONS".

As for the Economic passages, I do think that Monetary Nationalism and International Stability by Hayek above is a perfect fit. Is not it ??

People often take a stop to one or two PDFs/Folders they do not go deeper in what I share. And this is a bit of a shame. I infuse so much work to gather all these and share to the gmatclub students.

At the end of the day, it is not a big deal. No problem :) it is just a matter of will.

keep in mind that even though you read only business passages, for instance, this as it turns out will improve your skills also in other types of RC because your Standard English will improve as a whole. That is the key to bear in mind.

I hope all this to say is to help you.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I hope you do not get bogged down with people just skimming through a handful of PDF's. I cannot assure for the rest but ill make it a personal agenda from today to finish at least 4 good reads from the Freeman sub section during office hours. Also, I agree with your contention that diffcilty varies with the acumen of a person. To non-natives like me reading a book has been the most distasteful hobby ever. Our minds have been trapped by our so called great nations debilitated education system, which promotes wrote learning of math and ridicules people who take up arts or humanities for graduation.

Please keep up with your great work here at gmat club. We can never thank you or Bunuel or other experts enough. You are helping many with this. Please remember, God always sticks to the side of righteous.

Wish you the best :)

Well for those out there who tried to search the article mentioned by carcass from UChicago magazine...

Here it is https://mag.uchicago.edu/law-policy-soc ... oking-back

I tried to search it in the directories and couldn't for like 15 mins until I figured Google does that for me already!

I feel dumb.
