Do you have any suggestions on how to rapidly blow out the fire that inflamed in my quantative section?
My weakest areas are number properties, algebra and DS in an test environment. When I go through the problems without time limit I mostly can figure out the right solution but under a timed condition it just takes me too long to figure out the right approach. Sometimes I try to find an algebraic way where the solution says I should have used picking numbers, sometimes its the other way around. Really annoying! I went through all the MGMAT Books twice, but still, when I see a problem in the CAT it always feels like I never heard of it before I purchased the e-GMAT quant prep, maybe I will give it a try for the last 6 days.
I started out my studies with an equal score in verbal and quant. As I could push my verbal skills to a fine 39 now, I am really struggling with quant somehow.
My target score is a 650, which would get me instant access to my favorite Master program. So I only need a little buffer in quant so that if the verbal section in the real GMAT might not be comparable to MGMAT and GMATPrep that I dont end up with a 600 or something.
I would be very thankful if one of you has some advice :-D

With only 6 days to go until Test Day, I'm not sure how much improvement is possible, but there might be some small changes you can make to 'squeeze out' a few more points.
You've already listed the resources that you've used and your goal score, but I'd like to know a few more details:
1) How have you scored on your practice CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores on each)? 2) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT each time (including the Essay and IR sections)? 3) When are you planning to apply to School?

Thanks Rich! This is really my plan, to just squeeze out a few points. When I read the solutions its never something new to me, I covered the material, but I just cannot apply it yet.
I do not have access of my gmatprep results in detail but they were 600 and 650 (here I am sure about my V39)
MGMAT1: 620 with Q41 and V34 MGMAT2: 630 with Q39 and V37
2) Yes, I always made it feel like the real thing (except my clothing maybe).
3) Deadline is 1st of June. I may give the GMAT a second try in early May because I am really not far away from my target score. Is there any estimation how long the results need until they arrived at the school? Any maximum value? The school actually recommends to take the GMAT at least 14 days before deadline but somewhere else I read something like 14 to 21 days.
There are a few 'issues' here, so I've narrowed it down to the ones that you could attempt to improve in these last few days. Here is some information and perspective on your situation.
1) You will see LOTS of DS questions on Test Day and most can be solved by TESTing VALUES, so getting in some extra DS practice would likely be beneficial. In fact, more than half of the questions that you'll see in the Quant section can be solved this way, so if you're not sure what to do, there's a pretty good chance that TESTing VALUES will help you get the solution.
2) You should spend your time on the questions that are "gettable", and minimize your little mistakes. If you're just staring at the screen (or at your pad) because a question is too difficult, then you'd be better off 'dumping' that hard question and moving on. This is a tough idea for many Test Takers to implement, but it could very well help you.
3) The availability of your Official Score varies depending on the time of year (and how busy the Testing Centers are). Your score will likely be available in 7-10 days, but it might take longer if there are a higher volume of active Test Takers. Most Business Schools spend weeks reviewing applications, so if your Official Score isn't in their hands on the deadline date, then that's not necessarily a problem. You will have your Unofficial Score (which you can report in your application) and the School Admissions Officers will confirm it when the Official Score is made available.

Dear Rich,
thank you really much for your encouraging words! I scored a great 710 on my GMATPrep Exam with an q48. It was a real simulation. It helped me very much to plug in values again. I was obsessed with doing everything in the algebraic way but it seems its not fitting for me. I guess the truth tomorrow will be something between 630 and 710
I cannot agree with point 3. Please do not underestimate deadlines in Germany/Netherlands For traditional Master degrees the admission council is very strict. What did not arrive on time will just not be taken into account. But 7-10 sounds like a good time frame. I had 14 to 21 days in my mind.
That's great news about your score improvement on this last CAT. Remember that the GMAT tends to 'reward' flexible thinkers, so while you'll certainly come across some "math" questions in the Quant section, many of the 37 questions you'll face can be solved in other ways. Work hard, be strategic and do the work on the pad (NOT in your head) and you can hit your goals on Test Day.
