Hi All,
My GMAT is in 7 weeks. Before starting prep, I gave GMAT prep exam 1 and scored 550 (Q35 V30). After 2 months of prep, I took the 2nd one and scored 690 (Q48 V37). I am a working professional and have been able to give about 8-10 hours every week for study. I intend to increase the study time to 2-3 hours per day and 6-7 hours on weekend.
My target score for GMAT is 730+. I would like to increase my Quant score (targeting Q50, Q51 will be awesome though! and Verbal V44
) Please suggest strategies and ideas for improving my score.

Hi Anirban,
It appears that you already have a good standing in terms of basics and performance on mocks. I would recommend going through the following debrief to understand what you should do in each section of the GMAT to get your target score of 730+.

Hi,
First I would work on catching up with my verbal score a little. To try and get it to the same ballpark as Quant. Work on some grammar basics, as this will improve all areas of verbal. From here, I would look into a good adaptive course to take. Doing so will help you determine your weak areas in each subject. After determining your weak areas, focus on those and do not move on until you have completely mastered them. If you progress too fast, your lack of basic concepts will hinder your ability to perform on the more difficult questions.
Are you currently using a prep course? If so, which one? If you do not feel prepared enough, do not hesitate to postpone your exam a month to put in some extra time, but that is only if you feel necessary. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
