Hey GMAT club! I am taking the GMAT for the first time in 8 weeks. It has been a while since putting my math skills to the test outside of my recent college experience. I will be working on those areas which I am rusty. My reading comprehension is pretty good, but I could use a boost there as well.
I recently took my first practice GMAT with no initial studying and scored a 550 Q 35 and V 31. I know that I can do much better now that I have a feel for the test and what to expect. I ordered Manhattan's math series to help with my quant. I am an avid reader, but have switched from non fiction to fiction, and also started reading some of the online magazines recommended in the forum. I need to put myself on a schedule and am thinking that 6 days a week at 1-2 hours per day should put me on track for a 650+ score.
I am in school this semester, but I have time to study. I can be very militant about my time usage, but I do not want to burn myself out, or worse, not retain what I am learning. Is there a recommended amount of studying to do in a week?
I typically perform well on tests as pressure is hardly an issue.
Any thoughts or recommendations on prep would be appreciated.
Thanks!
