1. If i am not mistaken there is a 21 day limit between 2 In person GMAT exams. Not sure about the Online version of it but if it did you can assume a max of 21 days
2. In my experience the schools do get to know that you had an attempt but they wouldn't know the exact score and details of the same
3. With the online GMAT, unless you send the score to the schools, they will not know anything about your score and it wouldn't even appear in your attempt history
4. The interface is a bit different than the usual in-person GMAT registration so as you proceed further in the GMAT Online registration link you will get to chose the date and time of your exam. You will have to then make the payment

• Is there any time limit between taking online GMAT and in-person GMAT? How much later are test takers allowed to take online GMAT after in-person GMAT and vice versa?
No time restrictions on taking GMAT between online and in-center. Registration for these two tests is independent of each other
• How does score cancellation policy for in-person GMAT look like? Do schools you apply to see your attempts and the fact that you canceled your score?
No, cancelled score do not appear on GMAT score card. Schools do not get any data about cancelled attempts.
• Similarly, I know that online GMAT has no cancellation policy. Does that mean that the score is still accessible to schools you apply to even if you submit your in-person GMAT scores instead?
I think online GMAT score is reported separately. I am not certain whether my next in-center score will have my online GMAT score.
• I am also curious how do people register for online GMAT? I created a profile and everything that was required of me, but when I press on GMAT_ONLINE: Graduate Management Admission Test link terms & conditions open up, and I am not sure whether it means that I am signing up to take the test immediately or if it something else.
once you click on the mentioned link, you get redirected to Pearson vue site, where you can register for the online GMAT. It is worth noting that your MBA.com profile is different from Pearson vue profile, so better check your name on Pearson vue profile as well
