I took my GMAT on April 30 and got 560. My Quant is 44 and my Verbal is 24. I want to study the 1 year MBA. I am a Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant and have 7 years of experience. If I plan to retake the GMAT in the next couple of months, will it help? What do the institutes take - the best or the least scores? I also need financial aid. Please advice me.

Most schools look at the top scores. If you retake it and get 650-670+, surely, it will improve your chances.
Read through the posts in the GMAT Experience forum. you will find lot of advice that was given to testakers in a similar situation.
About financial aid, i dont know too much. You should try to get a 700+ if you are thinking about attending a top school. B-Schools generally dont offer financial aid. Even if they do, i am not sure if they'd be offering you enough to cover your expenses.

Absolutely Mayur, I agree with Praet. You should browse through the share your gmat exp. forum and see the advices given there. If you retake your exam and can score better it will definitely improve your acceptance ratio. 
schools look at your best GMAT score and if they see a large improvement, you will surely be able to strengthen that perseverance aspect of your personality
