i just had the same situation here. I finished my AWA, IR, and Quant and during the break, I checked my phone and looked at the time because I want to know what time i should come back from the restroom. The restroom is located outside of the testing room. What are you consequences? I am so worried about that right now!!!

Does anyone have some suggestion regarding this issue?
Same thing happened with me i went to use the washroom outside the test center and because my bag was too small to fully fit my book while coming back i unconsciously removed the book frm my bag and held it in my hand. because of this i couldnt take my verbal section and now gmac wont ive me the quant score nor are they letting me take the test for next 30 days.

Yeah, they're super-strict about these sorts of things. If you touch a book or your cell phone, it's against testing regulations, and your test will be canceled.
When the mistake is an innocent one, it's not the end of the world. You'll be able to take the exam again in the future, and unless you actually cheated, it won't do anything to affect your odds of b-school admission. It's just a stressful irritation that postpones your exam. It's not fun, but think of it as an extra 30 days to hang out with us here at GMAT Club and study for the exam.
