Hi Ogabry,

Have you also considered using a self-study course? Most are mobile-adaptive, so you could get started with one right away, rather than waiting.

I am a bit confused, is there a mobile adaptive self-study course?

I am aware of courses that have Q&A after every section but never seen one that adapts the learning materials accordingly. At least not 7 years ago.

Hi ogabry,

From what you describe, you are not facing any immediate application deadlines - which is good. As such, you can proceed with your studies however you like. There are a variety of different study materials that you might use, so depending on your Score Goal and the Schools that you plan to apply to, we can tailor a Study Plan to fit your schedule.mBefore I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:

1) What study materials do you currently have access to?
2) Have you taken any practice CATs/mocks yet? If you have, then how did you score?
3) What is your overall goal score?
4) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi Rich,

Thanks a lot for replying, that is true, I am not in a rush at all. I am trying to push GMAT out of the way so that when I choose to apply then I will have more time to focus on other parts of my application.

As a tentative timeline, I am planning to probably apply in 2022. (More than 18 months in the future) so an exam in late 2021 should be ideal.

As for answering your questions:
1) I still have the old OG texts and my own cheat codes from 7 years ago. I was trying to get some mobile apps to get started again.
2) I did for the OG mocks but that was roughly 7 years ago and I usually scored around 600s
3) My overall score is 700+
4) Top schools: HBS, Wharton, Insead, Columbia, MIT (I am in my early 30s so at this stage of my career, it won't make sense to leave where I am unless it was a top option)

Hi ogabry,

Since you are interested in some highly-competitive Schools, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement (and the more lead-time you have to work on those areas, the better). There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

In addition, since you're restarting your studies after several years, it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can take 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying first, so that you can refamiliarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. That score will give us a good sense of your current strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have that Score, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.

The Target Test Prep course is mobile adaptive. I'm not sure about others but ours certainly is.
