Hi abhi780,

While your concern about your CR performance is warranted, there's a broader 'issue' with how you've been taking your CATs.

Test Day is a rather specific 'event' - the details are specific and they matter, so you have to train as best as you can for all of them. The more realistic you can make your CATs, the more likely the score results are to be accurate. The more you deviate, the more "inflated" your scores can become - and that's possibly what has happened here. By skipping sections and taking the CATs at home, you haven't properly training for the FULL GMAT 'experience.' By extension, your CAT scores are likely 'off' so it's not clear what your actual ability level is right now.

1) Do you have the flexibility to push back your Test Date (even if it's just for a few weeks)?

Hey

I'm mentally prepared to give the exam on 16th October. I don't want to push this because I want to apply before the second round deadline this year (Jan first week) and pushing GMAT would give me lesser time to focus on my application. Worse scenario I would retake in November 2nd week but I would definitely want to give it a shot on Oct 16th.

What can I do best during the next 12~13 days to maximize my score?

Hi abhi780,

The type of improvement that you're trying to 'lock in' really cannot be 'rushed' in 12 days. If you're mentally prepared to retake the GMAT on November 2nd, then rescheduling for that Test Date shouldn't be a problem. You would be better served by planning for 4 weeks of consistent study time (as opposed to rushing for 2 weeks, then rushing again for another 2 weeks). Since you have not been taking your CATs in a realistic fashion, we don't have an accurate score to use as reference and we don't even know if CR is the only 'issue' that you're actually facing. Regardless of how you choose to proceed, we really need to see a realistic CAT result (which means taking the FULL CAT - with the Essay and IR sections, away from your home, at the same time of day as your Official GMAT, etc).
