GMAT OfficialGuide 2024 - 2025 is coming May 29, 2024
1 week away from an awesome event of the new OfficialGuide release!
The great news is that there are 900 questions (back from 600 or so last year; as a reminder last year, the Guide did not have new questions and simply lost questions compared to the 2022 edition).
Everyone will be highly anticipating the new non-math related questions in the DS as well as new questions specifically geared towardws GMAT Focus.
You will be able to buy the book on Amazon starting May 29th for $47, though this price quickly gets lowered to about $37. and
I expect you will be able to get an e-book version from Wiley where you can also get 2023 and 2022 versions but the price stays firm at $47 unfortunately....
FYI: you don't want to buy a used version of the Guide (e.g. 2023) as it contains access to the DI Questions which are not available in the book and require online access (you cannot work with Graphs and Table questions or Multi-source reasoning questions on paper unfortunately) and every new book comes with access code to the online question bank at mba.com
Is the New Official Guide Worth it?
Hard to tell at the moment as I have not seen the book but with 300+ questions compared to the old version and all highly-anticipated updates, I feel it is very much worth it, even if you have the 2023 edition, and espcially useful if you are just starting out to prep. Of course the big question is how many new questions the will have and we will only know when it comes out. I will update the post as soon as I have a copy (hoping for Wednesday May 29th)
I know the new guides just came out today, but has anyone been able to confirm how many new questions were released? Based on the description on Amazon, the new guides will have ~250 new questions. However, when I look at the individual guide's description I get: 100 new questions in the OG, 40 new questions in the data insights guide, 30 new questions in the quant, and 50 new questions in the verbal guide.
