GMAT prep is the best indicator for either section. That being said, did you analyze which questions you got wrong? GMAT doesn't like multiple incorrect answer choices in a row.

I got 2 twice 3 incorrect questions in a row, once 2 incorrect in a row, and the rest only 1 question in a row. I would compare it with the other mock test, but in general, I got 2 or 3 more incorrect questions in the official one.

Hi HermesM11,

There are a variety of factors that can impact your performance on a CAT/mock, including the type of Exam that you're using, the time of day that you start the Exam, the testing conditions, how well-rested you are, if you see any 'repeat' questions (that you had previously solved), etc. The V23 on this latest CAT is interesting - as it's notably lower than your other performances. Did you run out of time on this Verbal section (and leave any questions unanswered)?

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi Rich,

I answered all the questions in time. However, I got more questions wrong in this mock compared to the other ones (except for Manhattan CAT). Here are my answers to your question:

1) I'm studying around 15-20 hours a week since the beginning of October.
2) I used OG 2020 and Manhattan Strategy Guides (just finished them).
3) I took my CATs on these dates: October 16, October 30, November 13, and November 28.
4) I'm aiming for a 660 (Q45, V35).
5) I would like to apply to top Canadian business schools (Rotman, Sauder, Desautels, and Alberta) for fall 2022.

Probably fair to say the Official Mocks are the gold standard when it come to gauging your scoring level. Another Official Mock (whenever you take it) may help make things more clear.

Hi HermesM11,

The official MBA.com practice exams are the most accurate. That said, I see you repeated your last one. Do you have any fresh MBA.com practice exams you could take?

Hi Scott,

Yeah, I haven't used the second practice exam yet. I'll wait to use it after reviewing more material since it's the only one left that I have. It seems like I would need to buy exams 3 & 4 to assure that I'm near to my goal score.

Sounds good. Let me know when you take them.
