I tried accessing the website through multiple browsers (Edge, Chrome and Safari), and keep receiving the same error:

Error occurred!
Failed to load player dependencies
Error: Failed to load resource file: 'js/resources/AppStrings.pt-br.js?cache=2b678e7', reason: , status: 403


Can someone help?

Hi Scott,
Not yet... I sent an email to GMAC and my understanding is that they’re currently verifying the issue. I’ve tried several different approaches, but I keep getting the same error.

Temporary Fix for the GMAT Official Practice "403 Error"

If you see this error:

Error occurred!
Failed to load player dependencies
Error: Failed to load resource file: 'js/resources/AppStrings.pt-br.js?cache=xxxx', status: 403


it means the platform is trying to load the Brazilian Portuguese language file (pt-BR), but the server blocks it with a 403 (Forbidden).

Workarounds:

1. Switch site language to English (US)

Click Select Country → choose United States / English.

Log in again.

Alternatively, set your browser’s preferred language to English (United States) and restart the session.

2. Clear site data & force reload

Clear cookies/cache for gmatofficialpractice at the mba official site.

Reload with Ctrl+Shift+R (or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac).

3.Try incognito mode without extensions

Some ad blockers or security extensions can block resources.

4. Change network or use a VPN

Sometimes the CDN blocks requests based on region.

I followed these steps and fixed the issue.
