Hi Everyone,
I need some opinions. I am taking my GMAT on Friday.
I took the Powerprep last week and got a 450. I know this is low.
I have taken the Kaplan prep course and finished it.
It seems my weakness is the quantative side while my verbal is ok.
How do I study? Would a tutor two days before the test help?
It seems the more I study the less I retain.
Any advice?
Unfortunately 450 is a low score. It means you are in the 23%, 77% of the people who took the test scored better than you. Getting a 2 day is not the best solution. You should postponed you test, set a goal score and come up with a study plan. Read this forum and you will understand how much hard work and dedication it takes to score well on the GMAT. Taking a Kaplan class is not nearly enough. If you are committed and use the correct resources, particularly OG, you will see you score improve dramatically.
Thanks for getting back to me.
I realize the hardwork and dedication that GMAT takes I have running myself thin trying to work full time and study. I cannot postpone my test because I am looking for January Admission and my applications have already been sent in. I have talked to the deans of the school and they told me that if my score is not high enough then I could reapply for september or summer admissions. The deadline for those admissions are March and April 1st. is that enough time for the second round of studying?
Any tips?
