Following my initial GMAT attempt, where quantitative reasoning presented a significant challenge due to specific problem areas, I opted for the online version to focus on improvement. My retake strategy centered on elevating my quant score while sustaining my verbal performance.
My test-taking experience was smooth. Advice: Prioritize practicing with a whiteboard beforehand to simulate the online environment.
Addressing my quant weakness required a shift in approach. While I had tried tracking progress and practicing different difficulty levels, it wasn't until I utilized forum quizzes that broke down large topics into smaller, manageable categories that I saw significant progress. This highlighted the need for deeper practice and a more granular understanding of fundamental concepts.
Time management was another critical area. I consistently practiced with a defined section order and timing strategy during mock exams to avoid incomplete sections, a factor that significantly impacts the final score.

Great to see your retake strategy paid off! Maintaining verbal while boosting quant is tough. I’m curious about your section order—what did you go with? I keep running out of time on DI, and your timing strategy sounds like something I need.
